Los Angeles WordPress Events – January 2020

     -     Dec 15th, 2019   -     Websites   -     0 Comments

Once the holiday cheer subsides and the focus returns to talking goals and meeting client deadlines, Los Angeles area SEO and marketing professionals may want to take time to brush up in their WordPress skills. Although there are plenty of online training courses and programs where attendees can learn about WordPress, how to use it, improve it and generally become an all-around “genius”, there are times when attending an in-person session can be more appealing. If you are like our team members, a good mix of online instruction and hands-on, classroom training, brings out the best in you.

While there is no shortage of Word Camps available throughout the year, they are typically once per year events last only a few days. As an aside, if you are interested in attending a WordCamp event in Southern California in 2020, the only one currently scheduled is WordCamp San Diego, which is scheduled for May 2nd -3rd in San Diego. There are no details currently available on what topics will be covered and who will be speaking. Late in 2019, there was a WordCamp in Long Beach but there doesn’t appear to be another yet scheduled. (Don’t’ worry we will update you when the information becomes available). To fill the space, we have provided a list of local Word Press events below.

Creating WordPress Websites

Starts January 15th and goes for six weeks
Cost is $97
The event is offered by Los Angeles City Colleges and is online.

Summary: While we typically don’t include online training in our events summaries, since this one is offered by LACC we thought it was a worthwhile mention. The six-week course covers a variety of topics including getting started with WordPress, how to create a blog, installing WordPress, working with images and multimedia, essentials of a user-friendly website, WordPress security, monetization and how to master your site’s domain. An “all in” class for those looking to expand their knowledge.

Getting in the WordPress Game

When compared to SEO events in Los Angeles it appears there is less available for those seeking to learn WordPress. However, the events outlined above are a good start for local professionals looking to get their feet wet and continue building their skills.

How did we do? If we missed anything leave a note in the comment section below and we will be sure to check it out!
