backlinksOne of the most powerful methods for impacting a firm’s website rank is through securing authoritative backlinks. As most accounting marketers are aware not only is quality content necessary to perform well, but so are robust backlinks. Over recent years, Google has focused more and more on rewarding content that is viewed as quality. One way to assess the quality of content is by evaluating the type and number of other sites that link to the content. The more backlinks from authoritative sources the better the content will perform in rankings. As a result, most marketing professionals are looking for new ways to generate back links to their site. While it is not as popular as it once was, Google Plus still provides an amazing opportunity for SEO in the Story part under the “About” section. Through keyword rich anchor text firms can create a useful backlinks.
  2. Testimonials are Powerful – How many times have you caught yourself reading a review or testimonial of a product or service in order to make a decision? Take advantage of the opportunity to build a sense of trust with a testimonial. The way to do it is to make a list of your clients who have websites with testimonials. Connect with them and ask them to add your testimonial about their product or service to their website. This is the most organic and healthy way to create a backlink.

If someone on Quora is asking about “IRS scams”, you can provide an answer with a backlink to your firm’s blog on that subject. Viola! A quality backlink has been born.
  4. Infographics are Not Dead Oh no, not the dreaded “infographic” word! Surely for some, the idea of creating an infographic seems difficult and burdensome.
